The Parade

Everyone wearing green can join the parade!

Wear something green and join the parade. You can bring your own green accessories or buy them in the pop-up shop at the event. Children can have a free, special St. Patrick’s Day face painting done by St Patrick’s Day Volunteers.

St. Patrick will lead the green parade through the city centre. Participants in the parade include a bodhrán band on Irish hand drumsDark Green School of Irish Dancing, Irish Wolfhounds, GAA, Pop-UP Gaeltacht and the Irish Culture Association of Denmark (ICAD). Before kick-of the Irish Ambassador to Denmark will take the stage with a greeting from Ireland.

Parade Route: Rådhuspladsen – Vester Voldgade – Stormgade – Vindebrogade – Højbro Plads Gammelstrand – Nybrogade – Rådhusstræde – Gl. Torv – Nytorv – Slutterigade – Lavendelstræde – Vester Voldgade – Rådhuspladsen.

Paraden – det grønne festoptog

Alle klædt i noget grønt kan deltage i paraden. Så find det grønne pynt frem og tag hele familien med i paraden: et tørklæde, en hat, paraply. Kun fantasien sætter grænser.

St. Patrick fører de glade grøntklædte deltagere gennem Indre Bys gader. Deltagerne i paraden inkluder et bodhránorkester på irsk håndtromme, Dark Green School of Irish Dancing,  Irske ulvehunde, GAA, Pop-UP Gaeltacht, og Irish Culture Association Denmark (ICAD).
